Ostéochondromatose multifocale au cours d’une sclérodermie systémique
Multifocal osteochondromatosis in systemic scleroderma
L’ostéochondrome est une tumeur osseuse bénigne caractérisée par une métaplasie cartilagineuse de la synoviale. L’ostéochondromatose multifocale est rare. Nous rapportons l’observation d’une jeune femme sans antécédents notables, hospitalisée pour prise en charge d’une sclérodermie systémique. Devant des douleurs articulaires, un bilan radiologique révélait de multiples nodules ossifiés siégeant en périphérie de la synoviale du coude droit, de la tête et de la diaphyse humérale droites, de la tête fémorale gauche, de la branche ischio-pubienne droite et iliaque gauche et des métatarses compatibles avec une ostéochondromatose multifocale. Cette observation est particulière par la forme diffuse et les localisations exceptionnellement rapportées dans la littérature. A notre connaissance, L’association ostéochondromatose multifocale et sclérodermie systémique n’a pas été décrite.
Osteochondroma is a benign bone tumour characterised by cartilaginous metaplasia of the synovium. Multifocal osteochondromatosis is rare. We report the case of a young female patient without any noteworthy prior history, who was hospitalized for the management of systemic scleroderma. Because of joint pain, a radiological check-up revealed multiple ossified nodules on the periphery of the synovium of the right elbow and the head of the right humerus, the right humeral shaft, the left femoral head, the right ischio-pubic branch and the left iliac branch, and metatarsals compatible with multifocal osteochondromatosis. This observation is particular because of the diffuse form and the locations exceptionally reported in the literature. To our knowledge, the association of multifocal osteochondromatosis and systemic scleroderma has not been described.
